BASIC INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACCESSING COURT DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THE PENDING MOTIONS

The papers that Plaintiffs have filed with the Court on the pending motions have been posted on this web site in PDF form. You can access them simply by clicking on the particular document that you want to review. There is no cost associated with such access.

If you want to review the Company’s and/or the Union’s papers, you will need to access them via PACER. PACER is the electronic system that has been set up to enable the public to access Court documents. You can register for a PACER login and password at http://pacer.psc.uscourts.gov. The registration process is immediate.

Once you have your PACER login and password, do the following:

1. Go to www.nyed.uscourts.gov. That is the website for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. That is the Court in which the “RPA lawsuit” is pending.
2. Click on “CM/ECF” in the left-hand menu.
3. Click on “Public Access”. That will take you to PACER, where you will be afforded the opportunity to enter your PACER login and password.
4. Once you are in PACER, you will need to enter the Index Number for the “RPA lawsuit.” It is 04-civ-1376 or, simply, 04-1376.
5. Retrieve the documents you are interested in by finding them on the Docket Sheet. Click on the pertinent “Docket Number” for the specific document you want to retrieve. PACER will tell you how much it will cost to retrieve each document and ask you whether you want to proceed. If you proceed, you can read or download and print out the document you have chosen.
